The art world

A window to the art world

The owner of the premises, Pascale Daweritz, architect and passionate about art, leaves within the hotel an open door to artistic creation in all its forms. Painting, sculpture, mosaic, pottery... art invites itself without restraint to the four corners of the hotel. In the garden or the corridors of the Oustau, in the dining room or on the terrace, you can admire the works of local artists. To complete this foray into the world of art and beautiful things, you will find many books on painting and the history of the arts, as well as architecture, at reception.

If you look carefully you will also find paintings by the owner of the hotel wink

André Cerviera
Born in 1962, lives and works in Sète and on numerous random trips to the four corners of the world.
Some would see in him a new "genre" baptized "Latin expressionism" identifiable by the very fact of his own style... Like the character, André Cervera's painting is a thought in motion, instinctive and under pressure. She is both nervous and sophisticated. Always questioned... When he paints, the artist expresses his own relationship to the world.

Julien Descossy
Born in 1970, he studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier, integrating the lessons of his teachers, most of whom came from the ranks of the Support-Surface movement.
Thanks to his personal alchemy, however, he weaves through his works the links between past and present, seeming to refuse any rupture.
